Summer Vacay

At precisely 1:20 pm today, summer vacation commenced. We celebrated with ice cream and strawberries smothered in whipped cream.
The sidewalk chalk has already made an appearance. And the patio was covered in the things they know. And the things they dream of.World peace-isn't that the content of every child's slumbers?
Even as most of the house resembles this---I feel today is the start of something good.

How does your garden grow?

We planted a garden. In March. Did I tell you? Not too many things.

Lettuce. Cucumbers. Beets. Onions. Bush beans. This was the beginning of May.
This was the beginning of June.

So far we have eaten a lot of lettuce :)

Amanda's sekf-entitled hula girl made from things she found in the backyard.

Charlotte's color sorted alphabet.
Emma's little pink bird perched in a tree. Em mentioned she wanted to embellish the bird with a pink bow, but her teacher said no.

Sunny Days

We were outside constantly last weekend. Finally, some nice weather! The girls ran through the sprinkler and all around the yard and made their own water-slide.
Cole is not so keen on walking barefoot in the grass.
We got these suits a few months ago and my chicas have been asking to wear them ever since :)
