Towards the end of July, we went camping at my parent's property.
We stopped right before the pass in Newhalem.
We climbed on the old train parked there.
We headed up the pass.
(Just before we left, my water bottle spilled all over our camera. The lens was wet & blurry for a while, but it finally cleared up.)
We stopped at the top of the pass, after many complaints of feeling yucky, to get some fresh air. We asked Charlie how she felt......she pulled out this paper plate face she'd made at church.
We celebrated my mom's birthday once we got to the property. We made her a shadow box displaying some of her medals from gymnastics, plus an old photo of her on the balance beam.
We roasted marshmallows. We made s'mores.
We went hiking. We had lots of adventures. We chased cows + panned for gold.
We caught fish in the stream. We shot at targets (and other things) with our BB guns and .22s.
We practiced shooting the bow. We practiced retrieving the arrow.
We played Boggle + Scattegories. We talked + talked.
We stopped in Winthrop on our way home for some ice cream.
